Every driveway, patio and pathway we design and install is built to last. We stake our reputation on this, hence unlike many other companies, our driveways/patios and pathways come with a guarantee.
We carry out the following process:
- Excavation – we dig out the area to the correct death and dispose of soil. As well as prepare and install any necessary drainage.
- Edge Course – the edge restraint is laid on a sturdy concrete foundation around the perimeter.
- Lining the Base – a thick geotextile membrane is laid on the soil base to prevent the sub base mixing with the underlying layers. This will help prevent weed growth.
- Sub Base – we supply and lay a suitable hardcore to give a solid base for the driveway.
- Laying Course – we spread, level and compact laying course sands and screed to the correct level.
- Block Laying – paving blocks are then laid in the customers choice of colour and pattern.
- Cut & Fill – next we measure and cut the final blocks to size and fill the joints.
- Jointing & Compaction – kiln-dried jointed sand is spread over the block surface and swept into the joints using a soft brush. It’s then compacted with a wacker plate.
- Completion – excess jointing sand will be swept off the surface and it is now ready for use!
We also offer resin bound paving. Resin bound gravel is a mixture of aggregate stones and resin used to pave footpaths, driveways and pathways. Resin-bound paving is a fully permeable paving solution which allows water to freely drain through the surface as well as being resistant to cracking.
